I have always worked too much in the past but i am now making up for that and doing everything that i like. I like auto racing, festivals, travel, and anything thats exciting and different. I have been to vegas 3-times, traveled through the midwest, went to the mountains in the last 5 months. Relaxing and watching movies or listening to music is also ok!

It would be hard to define myself within the constraints of this little box. I like to cause trouble for the sake of laughter, I try to laugh at myself as much as I laugh with other people. I like my Capt' & Coke, I like it better with fools around me. I'm scared of seaweed and Clowns. This box is both too small and too large at the same time to properly explain "about me". I am a pit of "ha-ha-ha!"s and "Boo-hoo-hoo!"s. I could go on and increase the level to which this summary would be both self-deprecating and self-glorifying, but you get the picture (or you don't). Forgive me if it seems like I am being a poor sport. After all, no one put a gun to my head and forced me to do this.* I don't really love having fun. I enjoy awkward situations and any game that can be played while drinking (however I hate drinking games). I play music, listen to an excessive amount of it, but no longer feel the need to go into long discourses to the tune of "Oh you like _____, you should totally check out early _______. Hey there my name is Jared and I would like to thank you ahead of time for taking the time out to read my profile.

I guess I should first and foremost admit that I am kind of a nerd. But I am far from the socially awkward type who is a hermit. I am a nerd in the sense that I am intelligent man who happens to be intellectual. I am always on the pursuit of learning new things and challenging myself to understand the complexities of life. For light reading I do enjoy readding books about psychology and philosophy. I am a strong believer that not all things are black and white but instead are many hues and shades of just about every color imaginable. I do of course enjoy reading fictional books, esp ones that can make me laugh, because at heart I am truly a goofball. I also like books that have happy endings with a slight romantic twist, Christopher Moore being my favorite author for this.

While being a nerd I am also very active. I bike 90+ miles a week, I walk about 5 miles, and do attempt to get some weight lifting in the mix. I am a vert outdoorsy kind of man. I love hikes, of course bike rides, and spending time at the beach. I find it hard to sit still for long periods of time. Even in the winter I find myself bundling up to go for a walk. It helps of course that I have a Chocolate Lab German Shepard mix named Max. He is a great excuse to get outside.A very enjoyable activity for me would be going for a hike in a forest perserve in early to mid fall right when the weather changes, the leaves are falling, and a light jacket is needed. This of course is awesome to share with someone. It is also a good atmosophere for conversation.

I must admit I am not into the party bar scene. I am not fond of a loud atmosophere where you can't hear what the other person is saying. A large group of friends getting together in a intimate setting is highly enjoyable though. Going downtown of course is a blast. As well as a nice hookah bar or a small bar that has a quiet setting.

I have my B.A. in Psychology and a Minor in Philosophy and Business. I am a Trinity Christian College Alumni (a small private college in Palos Heights, IL. While I am not in graduate school right now, I shall be by Fall '10. I plan on getting my masters in Clinical Counseling. From there I am going to work with 13 to 22 year olds. I feel as if that's the key time in a person's life when they could use the most help. As of right now I work for The Home Depot. I am of course searching for a better job but I am happy to have employment during these rough times.

I currently do stay with my family. Its not a sense of me living with them but staying to assist during my mother's battle with disability. I can't tun my back on my family especially my little brother who is 13, who I helped raise for the first 6 years of his life. I currently don't have a car, things came up and it had to be sold. I am one to put the needs of others before myself.

While I maybe an intellectual man, I am not emotionless. I do process things on a logical level. But I am sort sweet, kind, caring, and cuddly soft. I am the kind of guy who you can count on for anything. And in those rough times I can drop everything and be there for true comfort. I am an amazing hugger from what I have been told. I am also affectionate and display the proper amount of affection in public. I am a great listener and I give solid life advice. I am also really laid back and enjoy the small things in life. I can adapt easily to what a woman wants and go withthe flow of things. I am a strong man and I can take care of myself and my lady. But at the same time I am not ashamed to admit I need help. I am just getting into country. I can listen to most tap and r&b. My delving into classic rock is kind of spread out. I love music a lot and I am always open to listening to new things.

Seems day away from all the cold but no more snow. Hope your day is well. Searching for my missing better half and partner in crime during this very cold and not so snowy weather this winter.

I like a quiet life and with simple things. Just a nice home cooked meal, rented movie / cuddling on the couch and a walk around the neighborhood and I am happy.

Looking for someone to call after class or work just cause. Someone to sleep in with on Sundays and cook breakfast together or maybe do the flea market with. Rent a movie on Saturday night, order pizza or Chinese and just relax together watching a movie. Nice to relax once in a while.

Love older cars mainly working on them and driving them ( gets me in trouble sometimes). I like restoring older cars and very good with my hands. I also like bike riding off roading and motorcycles.

I like to take Sundays off from work just to relax. Love a breakfast together and than and going to flea markets then. Seems I am one of the few that still don't work Sundays and use that time to spend with love ones.

Oh an excuse you will never hear me say is " my car broke down and can't make it" :) as I have spares and can work on them. Actually buy ones headed to the junk yards (seriously). Could never be without multi cars or trucks.

I guess it's hard for me to talk about myself because I guess there isn;t a whole lot of important things to say about myself. These things get scrutinized, you know. People will occasionally try to set me up, and I'm game, but on the whole, my personal life has been woefully neglected. I believe I'm relatively good company, but I'm by nature shy, so I can have a hard time holding up conversation with another quiet person. But I think conversation is very important.
